Summer time is the best for family reunions!! Growing up my grandma, on my dad's side, always had the family gathering at the ranch in Tetonia and it was always the weekend of my Aunt Rita's birthday. I thought it was the most beautiful place on earth and had so much fun fixing fences, branding cows and playing in the irrigation water in the green tin boat as a kid. My grandparents both passed away and this was our last visit to the ranch before it was sold about three years ago. The well water was so cold and to this day I love drinking out of stainless steel cups because of the famous pan hanging outside on the side of the well house.
I was so glad my kids got to experience the fun for a short time and create memories of their own with their cousins.

The view of the Tetons from the ranch house was incredible anytime of the year!!

A little ranch house with a whole lot of memories!!

The family reunion tradition fell through the cracks a little after grandma died. But thanks to some planning we were able to get together again on Rita's birthday. It wouldn't be the same if we didn't have a camp fire and weren't in the mountains. So we headed up to Heber Valley Camp. Happy Birthday Rita!!!!
Playing games and hanging out with the family... It got a little cold but the kids loved it.

Thanks Rayetta for planning the weekend...

We participated in the organized games they do for the girls at girls camp and it was so much fun. We had to work together to come up with a plan to get everyone on the boat without dropping in the shark infested waters. I think David was the only one who died, but he was the first to help figure out how to do it. Way to sacrifice for your fam!

Dillon and Truxton saved the family after we'd all been bitten by snakes as they crawled across the rope we all held to get the antivenom from the big acid pit.

The big bungee swing high up in the tree tops was our favorite!! Go Dillon!!

Carlie was so brave...

And Seth went all the way to the top where the adults went. He was by far the most brave or it was because he said stop five times and no one could hear him. Huge smile on his face meant no fear.
