Every year during Christmas, all the kids in the school donate a teddy bear for the teddy bear tree. They're suppose to earn the money themselves to buy the bear they donate. Then the last day before Christmas break they all line up and take turns hugging all the bears before they are taken to a women and childrens center. It is really neat to hear the stories about how excited the children are to receive these bears. Sophie kept messing up the trees because she wanted to bring a few home for herself.

..and for this one. :) What a neat idea for the kids to learn to be more giving and thoughtful this time of year.
